These advertisements are an impression of Daniel Canogar’s work—without directly using photos of his work or style—as well as an interpretation of the National Fear Survey. Dynamic, undulating forms inspire feelings of unease in the viewer—a direct homage to the Survey. What evil lurks in the dark? The event itself is not something to be feared, so the ambiguity and atypical nature of the graphics are meant to also inspire curiousity in the viewer as well. In direct contrast with the graphics, and following suit with other contemporary gallery design, the type is minimized.
